Mitchell K. Karpf was born in Miami, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1979 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, School of Law, graduating in 1984.

Mr. Karpf is a Board Certified Marital and Family Law Lawyer by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.

Mr. Karpf has been nationally recognized by Naifeh & Smith's "The Best Lawyers in America," Seaview Putnam from 2006 through the present and named in Florida Super Lawyers 2006-2008.
